The Heartland Detachment Marine, Inc. Marine Corp League has been collecting toys for LOCAL children for years through their Toys for Kids Program. We are proud to support and highly encourage your support and donations as well to make sure kids have a great Christmas in every year!

The Brighter Days Foundation’s mission is to help seriously and chronically-ill children, ages 0-18, and their families living within the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota by surprising them with meaningful gifts and/or opportunities to brighten their day. The Foundation is set up to help bring the community together that the child resides in through fundraising events, scholarships and gift presentations by volunteers.

Located in Staples, MN, the Staples Memorial Park provides a place to honor and remember those individuals who defended their nation and community. They are currently fundraising for the new Memorial Wall being built.

The Garrison Wild & Free Wildlife Rehabilitation Organization provides rescue, medicine, surgery and physical therapy leading to the release of wildlife in their natural habitat. They are a non-profit organization committed to professionally rehabilitate wildlife, to educate the community, and promote the conservation of the natural environment.

Jane Fiemeyer, a vibrant second-grader at Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary School was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of seven. Jane had a dream to find a cure for cancer so others didn’t have to be in pain. Before she died, she shared a wish that her legacy would continue in many ways, one of that being a 5K event. The Princess Warrior Run, Walk, Roll, Stroll or Crawl is a Jane-like way to make her dream of a 5K and her dream of finding a cure for cancer a reality.

The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes (formerly known as Kids Against Hunger) packages highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving children and malnourished children and their families in developing countries and the United States. The goal of the organization is for its meals to provide a stable nutritional base from which recipient families can move their families from starvation to self-sufficiency.

Acorn Hill is an Equine Therapy center  located in Motely, MN. Their mission is to strengthen, empower and enhance lives for people with special needs through Equine Assisted Activities or Therapies. Watching the progress of what Hippotherapy can do for children in wheelchairs and walkers is truly a miraculous thing!

H.A.R.T. holds a special place in our HEARTS and we want to support them in any way possible. It is their mission to build compassionate relationships between people and animals through quality education, sheltering and adoptions.

We love our pets and want to see each and every animal find a loving home. That’s why we support the Wadena County Humane Society. They help save the lives of companion animals, find forever homes for forsaken pets, and advocate responsible animal guardianship in our community.

In honor of Jaimie Senger, her family and friends founded “Jaimie’s Purse,” in 2016. Jaimie’s Purse is committed to providing support to Minnesota families affected by pediatric cancer. Jaimie’s Purse is local, and keeps the families they donate to within a 50 mile radius  of the Brainerd/Baxter area.
